Did you know that Givt also offers the possibility to give via QR codes? We would like to point out to you that downloading a QR code with Givt is free and simple.
The QR code is perfect for use in communication channels such as a website, a newsletter, an order of worship, or a poster. Actually in all situations where there is no transmitter and you want to provide potential givers the opportunity to donate.

About Givt
What is Givt?
A growing number of people don’t carry cash around anymore. Our clever technique enables anyone without cash to give, but now using their smartphone.
Givt respects the current way of collection. Therefore, our solution does not interfere with the ‘old’ way of giving. No cash? With Givt you are able to participate again! Still carrying cash? No problem, nothing changes.
Givt can be downloaded for free in the App Store and in Google Play.
How safe is Givt?
It is very important to us that everything is safe and risk free.
Your safety is guaranteed on two levels: privacy and payment traffic.
Privacy
You have to register to use the Givt service. We only ask for the data that is needed to perform a transaction. Therefore, we do not provide data to third parties, unless it is necessary within the framework of the execution of our agreement, or if legally required.
Being a UK based company, we adhere to the new GDPR regulations regarding privacy and the collection and use of personal information.
Payment traffic
Givt works with SmartDebit, who handle our transactions. SmartDebit specialises in the processing and authorisation of direct debits through the BACS system. SmartDebit provides this service to Givt at a low cost. Givt believes SmartDebit is the ideal partner to make cashless donations simple and secure. As a payment service provider they are monitored by the Financial Conduct Authority. The donated amounts are collected by SmartDebit, transferred to a safeguarding account and distributed by Givt.
It is worth emphasising that transactions do not take place during giving with Givt. Transactions take place afterwards via a direct debit. Since these are revocable, giving is completely safe and protected against fraud.
The technique behind Givt
Giving with Givt is easy. Open the app, select an amount and move your phone over the collection device containing the Givt beacon.
If, in an exceptional case, your phone does not recognise the signal of the beacon, you can select your foundation manually. The signal that is sent by the beacon contains a code which will be recognised by the Givt app and translated into a receiver of the donation.
During this process, your phone never sends a signal itself, therefore data on your phone cannot be intercepted.
The ease of giving
With Givt you are able to give with one smooth gesture and you can decide how much you want to give. No limits! Select an amount, and then scan a QR code, move your phone towards the collection device, or select a goal from the list.
Giving stays anonymous
A donation with Givt cannot be traced back to a person by the charity. The charity receives the total donated amount from all givers in its bank account and not as separate donations. This means that giving with Givt is just as anonymous as giving cash.
